On January 28, 2016, we hosted our spring GT event. Parents learned about SST Discovery's Gifted & Talented Program. We discussed the process for student entrance into the program. Parents completed an activity to see if they knew the differences between a bright student and a gifted student. It was a great event! Enjoy some of the pictures from that day.
Please join us for a GT Informational Session on Thursday, January 28th from 3:30-4:30pm in the SST-Discovery Cafeteria. Refreshments will be provided.
We will be discussing parent & teacher nomination forms, the tests that are used to identify GT students, and how SST Discovery's GT Program operates. SST Discovery's Gifted and Talented Program will begin accepting spring nominations for any currently enrolled student.
The process for enrollment into the Gifted and Talented Program starts with nominations. Parent Nomination forms can be found on our website, www.sstdiscovery.org, by clicking the button below, or picked up from outside of our front office. Please turn the nomination form in to your child’s teacher or to the front office. Students can be nominated by parents or teachers. Nominations are due on or before January 31, 2016. If your child was nominated in the fall, they will have to wait until next fall to be nominated/tested again. Please feel free to email or call with any questions you may have. Thank you! |
